We get that McDonalds has some lax rules but that's not reflective of most job fields. It isn't right, but there is a significant difference between grabbing someones ass once, and using your position of power to convince people to do the things you want (sexual or otherwise) If this story is to be believed, this man grabbed a woman's ass ONE TIME roughly a year ago. It's ridiculous that it's even being looked at. This doesn't sound like it was anything more then someones ass getting slapped once before and it's not like her lifeview was shattered because of it. If it was, she needs to get some thicker fucking skin... Or he could just not be a desperate creep? I think that's far more fair of a request than "thicker skin". It's got nothing to do with one time. People are fired for first infractions all the time. The fact that an investigation happening pisses you off makes no fucking sense. So what should victims do, keep their mouth shut? No, fuck that. I'd prefer an investigation over a public execution any day and all you're doing is making it clear you would prefer no one to speak period about these things. In fact, let's take it the other way and say I have lost my career for literally reporting to HR that I was asked to do something objectively illegal and I refused to do so. I was blackballed from my field in my city. I adjusted and bounced back in a different field.
