I voted for Obama, I bought into the promise of change. Looking at my bank account though, I wish he had promised dollars.
Seriously though, I thought Obama was the better candidate at the time. Looking back, he wasn't an awesome president, but he definitely wasn't the worst. The ACA was a mess that screwed middle class workers, but other than that I can't really point to anything bad he did legislatively. Honestly, the biggest problems with the ACA were the Employer Mandate and the fact that it was literally the dream plan the insurance companies had. It literally put insurance company profit ahead of public health.
But honestly, I would vote for a Democrat again if I felt they were the better candidate, even if I disagree with them on a lot of issues. Just like I will vote for a Republican despite disagreeing with them on a lot of issues.
I feel the same way about voting for obama, but if I makes you feel any better, Romney and McCain were just as bad. McCain was worse than obama, imo, and we simply weren't given good choices. ---
