Topic	Serious question. What's the difference between trolling and shitposting?

I don't think the terms are always used in a consistent way, but if I had to draw a distinction, I would say that with shitposting is like trolling where you sort of make sure that everyone is in on it (which does lend itself to the it's an attempt to be funny thing) whereas with trolling you're trying to fool some people. Yeah that seems like a pretty sound explanation. Shitposting usually gets thrown around like it's just a gag.
