I thought democrats were supposed to be progressive, good, not backwards like conservatives. I thought asking questions were not only a foundation of being a good democrat but a bedrock of western civilization. The reaction shouldn't have been to demean a swath of people that included those that weren't even involved with the worst perpetrators. Had they ignored it that would have been one thing, but they didn't. That was the watershed moment that introduced me to the worst elements of liberals. I mean, it really was like opening my eyes to how bad unchecked liberalism can be. No, I'm not a liberal anymore. But I wouldn't strictly call myself a republican either. I just want to be able to ask questions, even hard and unpleasant ones, and not be thrown under the bus for it. --- http://i.imgur.com/DKNJbBm.jpg What a terrifying thing to happen.
