It's difficult to describe... in a way I'd almost say it's like eating sea avocado?? It had kind of a similar texture to avocado, only slightly meatier; taste was also somewhat similar, only fishier and almost a little rotten?

It's an acquired taste, for sure; my first bite was plain, but I had to put a good amount of ginger, wasabi & soy sauce on the second one.

That's a good way of describing it. It's like mousse type texture, and if it's fresh has a very mild fishy to almost nonexistent flavor.
