Yeah, the a-plots are fun distractions but they also don't really matter very often. I mean, sometimes they revolve around characters we actually know and then it's a bit more meaningful, but for the most part it feels like they're mostly there to cater to network TV conventions at the time... It's the arcs that matter and Veronica Mars season 1 arc is up there among the best of them...
