To be honest I don't really care about Steam Winter Sale anymore...

I miss flash sales too (who doesn't love bigger discounts) but I don't think it's changed what I buy at all.

- then: I decide I want X game -> I check every day for a flash sale -> if not, I buy it on the last day
- now: I decide I want X game -> I buy it

So it's more convenient, but yeah, not as fun.
