Even in spite of the changes to the combat, I feel pretty confident in saying that it'll feel pretty similar to the more recent games. I haven't played HW or FEW, but they remind me a bit of the other Warriors spinoffs I have played. The big question for DW9 isn't the combat, but how everything else is handled, such as the open world. If you liked the combat and general of HW and FEW, then I have little question that will be an issue for you in DW9.
