WTF? he's saying that if the closing time of 10pm is getting too late because employees need to be home by 10:15 or whatever for some reason, then close the store at 9:30 so that customers will stop coming in after 9:30 allowing everyone to finish their closing work by 10. If you have a sign that says you're open until 10, EXPECT people to come in and up until that time. No amount of bitching and whining at the customers is going to change that. Because that's standard practice, people will expect service and to be able to shop. I find it interesting that you mention customers and people in the same sentence.
