You can thank those asking for $15 min-wage for a fast food job for that. Showing how easily they can be replaced by a machine and the customers get a better experience.

Lol you think those people wouldn't have been replaced anyway

The current model will not be sustainable forever, raising the minimum wage is putting a bandaid on the issue

Blame inflation instead.

Nope. Minimum wage increases did it.

Its official: McDonalds says that every one of its 14,000 stores nationwide will be replacing cashiers with automated touch-screen kiosks. Theyre starting with stores where minimum-wage laws mandate the highest rates, such as Florida, New York, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Seattle.

Florida's minimum wage is $8.35 an hour. I doubt that it's as high as San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, Seattle or even Washington, D.C., the minimum wage that is. No, Florida was sued by the feds for not passing on any minimum wage increases (they were at $7.35 an hour, way below the federal minimum wage before going to court a few years ago); that's why it's now $8.35.
