Good stores "close" a half hour before the employees are expected to leave so people can actually show up when the place is OPEN and expect to be served at capacity, but also allows the employees paid time to clean up once everyone is gone. This weird adversarial way some places are set up where they basically force the employees to either work for free or offer substandard service to customers makes no sense.
