Rika, unless you have no control, credit cards are better. It is absurdly easy to get one with some sort of rewards even if it's only like 1% cash back and as long as you pay off the statement every month there's no interest. You make a small bit of money over using a debit card when used correctly.

i dont really think spending like $6k to get $50 cashback is worth it especially with the annual fee of credit cards

None of my credit cards have an annual fee. My most-used credit card gives me 2% back on every purchase, so that would be $120 on that $6k with absolutely no penalty for me and no extra effort at all. I even have it set up to automatically pay the balance in full every pay period, so it's like I'm using a debit card. As mentioned before, I also get the benefit of keeping my credit score high.
