"Jews" is a made up term. There were no Jews until they decided to create their culture from the downfall of their religion during the time of Christ. God made a covenant with Abraham, which the Israelites inherit. The "jews" of today are entirely different and have almost nothing to do with the ancient Israelites, whose covenant is now null and void. You cannot say that Abraham was a "jew" when he knew nothing that the modern "jews" today claim they know. All he did was listen to God. Christianity is not derived from Judaism, but Judaism is an offshoot off of the original monotheistic religion that Christianity is based on, in the Old Testament which is merely a post-flood oral tradition.
