Everyone knows batteries degrade. The issue here is that Apple intentionally throttled CPU performance, hid it, and only admitted it because they got caught with pie on their face.

yeah, I suppose thats fairly embarrassing, but is buying a new battery the only way to speed them back up? or are they planning on actually giving you the option in the future?


So far, buying a new battery is the only option. But even then, it's probably not going to change the fact that iOS throttles older devices. It'll just make the battery last longer.


that kind of sucks for the Real Mobile Gamers our there, but I think Im gonna scoop me a new battery. My battery life is my only problem with my 6s, and if that goes away, I could see myself using this phone for another year or two.
