A Mars Bar in America was just milk chocolate, nougat, and almonds. However the US Mars Bar was discontinued in 2002 and replaced with the Snickers Almond bar, which was pretty much the exact same as the US Mars Bar but with the addition of caramel, basically making it a Milky Way with almonds. They've unsuccessfully tried to relaunch the Mars Bar in America but it hasn't worked yet. In the UK however, a Milky Way drops the caramel and uses lighter nougat, while the Mars Bar is just milk chocolate, caramel, and nougat, basically making it like the American Milky Way, which is actually what the Mars Bar was made after.
