Let's investigate some of these recommendations

If you have a way to watch it, I think the ideal recommendation is Carnival Phantasm tbqh

How do you resolve a conflict between powerful spirits of famous heroes for a prize capable of granting any wish? Wage a war that will cost your blood, sweat, and tears? Too much workhow about a game-show competition instead?
Carnival Phantasm takes a number of characters from Type-Moons original works, and puts them in a variety of light-hearted scenarios which parody their respective series. Watch Lancer suffering due to his low luck stat, or watch the egotistical King of Heroes gladly kneel to a dominatrix King of Knights. Just remember to leave your sanity at the door.

Oh, it's a Fate parody? Yeah, this might be worth looking into, although it doesn't look like there's a dub or a legit site to watch this on.

I think I've recommended this before but I'm pretty sure you'd like Spice and Wolf.

Lawrence, a traveling merchant, finds a nude girl with the ears and tail of a wolf asleep in his cart. She is Holo, a harvest goddess with an untamed beast lurking inside. Armed with his street smarts and her animal instincts, a simple peddler and a forgotten deity journey through the countryside while reaping the riches of happiness and exposing the bankruptcy which dwells in the human heart.

sounds like Persona 5 except with a naked wolf girl instead of Morgana

Tsurezure Children

To those of you out there who never could say "I love you" This story is about ordinary highschoolers and how love makes them fired up, shaken, laugh, cry, and hurt. Whether things go well or not, this story of adolescence and romance will show you how they spend their precious youth. Every character is the main character here, and you're sure to find one you can sympathize with.

well I've actually said "I love you" at least once in my life but this does sound interesting

My Bride is a Mermaid

Nagasumi is in hot water after Sun, a cute mermaid, saves him from drowning. Her dad is a merman Yakuza prone to executing anyone who learns his familys scaly secret! Luckily, theres a catch: if Nagasumi agrees to marry Sun, he can avoid sleeping with the fishes! The kids in over his head, but theres no denying the mermaids allure. Nagasumis hooked, and Suns ready to come ashore!

Oh yeah, I guess I also previously mentioned Welcome to the NHK!, but with the caveat that it's quite a heavy show

Yeah, I looked into this one. This one is probably more up Jeff Zero's alley than mine, so I might wait until we're living together again to try this one.

Arawaka under the bridge is a great comedy with some genuinely touching moments. Might be a bit too oddball though.

Ko Ichinomiya's family motto is "Never be indebted to anyone," but after losing his pants and falling into the Arakawa River, he quickly finds himself in debt to his savior, the cutely insane Nino (who happens to live under the bridge). To repay her, he vows to help her with her desire to "experience love." Along the way he'll meet the river's other residents, including a hot-blooded kappa, a Sister in drag, and a literal rock star. Sorry, Kowhen you fell into that river, I guess you really got in over your head!

cutely insane not insanely cute I'm not sure how I feel about that
