They might have better medical technology. More importantly, it is pretty hard to spread a disease through space.

At least a biological,warfare in a major battle would cripple majority part of the army.

Bonus if it is slow acting so the soldiers have to to get back to the base or make other people or species a passive carrier.


Except diseases don't generally immediately kill someone. That would be poison and bioweapons. Diseases spread slowly (compared to any other weapon), can be quarantined, would be expensive to maintain and distribute, would risk killing important politicians/celebrities, could mutate to harm you, leave no one to interrogate, could make a planet unlivable, and all around, are pretty awful wartime weapons.

Why would you do that, when you could just throw wave after wave of easily replaceable robots at them?
