Topic	My only gripe with The Last Jedi is Finn's entire story / plot SPOILERS

He deserts the Resistance because they stand no chance against the FO. He only cares about himself and Rey, even at the end of The Force Awakens. It's because of Rose and Canto Bight that he figures out what the Resistance is fighting for and fully embraces himself as a Resistance soldier, even going so far as to sacrifice himself (foolhardily) for the cause. This is it really. It was solely about his character development. Which will lead to the next movie. Also to show off a new planet and to give some context to the kid at the end discovering the Force.
