Part of it is that I learned from TFA that I might as well wait till Christmas cause my family will want to see it together, so I didn't actually see it on opening night. (I can kind of agree that Rogue One really didn't need to exist, though). It has a historically low second-week drop actually but its opening was second highest of all time domestically right behind TFA Like the drop is huge but it still posted $120 million or so for the four-day weekend so that's really just saying a ton about just how much it made here on opening weekend ($220 million) Mixed word-of-mouth + Christmas falling on a Monday + Jumanji overperforming versus expectations all play big roles in the drop but it's still making bank like crazy right now and yeah, you might be right about it having decent legs in weeks 3 through 5 or so. I don't know though, I kind of expect them to keep buckling Where did you see $120? I saw 66 weekend and 105 4 day.
