Because instead of actually trying to be understanding and get these people to be open about the help they need so this happens less, it advocates for thought crime and locking people up when they haven't done anything How isn't that a stupid idea There's nothing to understand. That person is clearly a threat to other human beings, therefore with that in mind he should be kept in an environment where he does not pose a threat to other human beings. It's really as simple as that. Oh okay. So any time you have an intrusive thought of any sort (don't even pretend to act like you don't, everybody does) we should lock your ass up too even though you haven't committed any crimes. That's how it works, right? Pedophillia isn't a thought crime though.
