I haven't actually gotten around to playing my copy of Advent Dark Force yet, but I did play through the original Fairy Fencer F and I felt it was a pretty fun game. But yeah, Advent Dark Force is literally the original game with a bunch of added content. At this point it's probably not worth picking up the original version.
