Though, I think it's possible he was lying, is because he knew who she was before anyone else did in TFA and was angry that she went with Fin, then Maz asking Han who she was and it cutting away before he answers, then her force vision showed them leaving the planet and not just being dead in a ditch on the same planet like he said.
