Can someone explain stop limits to me

A stop limit is the price you set to automatically sell your coins if the market value reaches that price

So, if you aren't paying attention to the market, you can keep yourself from losing too much if it crashes, or locking in your profits if it moons

On the flipside, you could end up selling on a dip only for it to go back up later, or you leave money on the table as it goes higher than your stop limit and you could've sold it manually for a better price.
