$1400. It's a phase-in, so it won't hit $2000 for years. And you have to make a certain amount per year to actually get that $2000. It's designed to help richer families more.

So, basically, the average person will only see a very small increase over the next few years.

EDIT: To explain it more easily, what it means is that you get up to $1400 back, but it's based on income at 15 cents on the dollar.

Are you positive because what I read is that low income filers can be refunded $1400 under what would be $0 owed in taxes, but it goes up to $2000 if not in that scenario.
