A lot is getting done. There have been protests and there are now lawsuits being filed. Maybe you should look beyond gamefaqs, though I know that's probably difficult for you.

How much of the general public votes for their elected officials outside of an R or a D next to their name? Do most of the people saying they're upset even know who their elected official is? No. Not at all. Most people are saying, "Wow this sucks, hope someone does something about it"
