Topic	I teach 6th graders and they still joke about gay people

Students regularly use gay accusations to get under people's skin and yet have no problem grabbing each other's junk and dry humping each other. How they reconcile the two is beyond me. Because none of it is seriously, clearly. They probably look at us and wonder WTF our problem is. In all seriousness, it's usually a power move. Japan is still pretty conservative. I lived there and am moving back next year. Being openly gay is sill kind of new. To be fair, usually if it's just gay jokes, they're just being stupid.
