If the kid was going around calling people the n-word, or saying racist shit to people, then he, in fact, was the one that started bullying. Then he played the victim card when everybody fought back. The problem is that these situations aren't even remotely comparable. One person makes a homophobic twitter comment directed at no one in particular, the other person is (allegedly) actively going around harassing his schoolmates.
