This actually could be true. My wife and I had this conversation a few days ago. She said she never dated anyone who was not substantially taller than she is. For reference, she is 53. She asked me if I would have ever dated anyone taller than me. I said I didnt care, but it never came up because there werent any women taller than 64 in my social circles. She told me that for her it was a safety thing. She felt safe when someone was around her who is bigger than she is.
