Or "When the King was at the bottom of the lake he hid it somewhere". That's true, we'll compromise there. I should have phrased it "He then takes the key, leaves the castle and travels the east road to throw the key in the bottom of the lake. Then to ensure he is not being followed, he walks around the lake and takes a different road home, slightly further south, heading back westward."
