The 19 and 17 are both great choices assuming you swap out the plastic sights The M&P 2.0 is pretty good out of the box, but they don't tend to hold up as well long term as other options. They are still a viable option. Everything in in the XD series is garbage. Their butter smooth slide tricks people into thinking they are quality. They work fine for range toys but not for carry guns. The grip safety has a tendency to break and are sensitive to dirt and debris. My personal carry gun is the CZ P10c. The only negative I have come across is the magazine release can be difficult to press with a fully loaded magazine in it. As you may notice every gun I listed is striker fired.
