I never got why we lost our fur. we didn't start making coats till we lost our fur. so why did we lose our fur? I think it had to do with our bipedalism, also our hunter-gatherer ways. We have the most advanced sweat glands out of all mammals (which aided us in endurance hunting), which probably meant fur as ventilation was not as necessary.
