Silver Spoon, a fish out of water story about a city kid attending an agriculture school just to get away from dealing with the high expectations his father has for him, and maybe figure out what he wants to actually do with his life along the way. Fittingly for a series written by a mangaka who actually grew up on a farm, it's surprisingly in depth about the harsh realities of farm life. Manga is still ongoing; I recommend picking it up starting with chapter 76 if you end up liking the anime.

Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto is about a high school student that exists for the sole purpose of being so perfect that he looks cool no matter what he's doing. He's not necessarily the protagonist though; the individual stories are usually presented from the perspective of the many people that admire and/or envy him.

Persona 4: The Animation, which I'm recommending purely because I suspect it was written by that one guy that picked all the funny dialogue options. If you can get over the slow-paced beginning it shares with the game, Yu Narukami develops into a protagonist that's brimming with comedy gold.

Without going as in depth about why, I can also vouch for Cromartie, Ouran, Ghost Stories (Dub), and One-Punch Man.
