I don't remember Shelob being anything other than a big fat spider that Sauron let live solely as a pet for his own amusement. But I've been playing Shadow of War and now she's a sexy lady who had sex with Sauron and said she took the form of a spider by choice..... And has her own big goals and agendas. Considering this is supposedly supposed to be the prequel to the movies it makes it hilarious considering what happens between her and Sam.
