I don't think it conveyed the action as much as the "teen life" kind of thing in the commercials or something, idk. I've always been pretty judgey of TV shows based off commercials and I've totally been wrong and ended up liking a lot of shows that I initially thought looked dumb. Like I remembered the Ed Edd n Eddy commercials before it premiered and I thought there was no way in hell I'd be watching something like that... ended up being one of my favorites. --- Reading this post may induce one or more of the following: Nausea / Butt-Hurt / Lulz / UM?
