Quitting jobs is awesome. Once I hit the 2 year mark I try to leave ASAP. I find much more value in moving around than I do moving up and I feel I've grown so much more in the past 1 year jumping around between jobs than I did staying put at one job for 2.5 years. Though I understand the value many people hold in settling, I get uncomfortable and bored if things don't change for a while.

I've been doing the same, but I'm currently going on three years and likely more at my current job because I don't want my resume littered with too many short jobs, just in case a potential employer sees that as undesirable. Plus my current job is pretty sweet in terms of work, pay, co-workers, and benefits.

But yeah, it's great leaving knowing I won't have to deal with whatever bullshit of the current job anymore. It's especially sweet if I'm on a long-term many-iteration project where decisions have been made that I know will lead to trouble in the future even after I've given warnings about the potential pitfalls, but I will avoid that by leaving.
