It sounds like Ford has a personal vendetta against John Cena. John Cena is a high profile customer and he signed a contract with the purpose to represent the brand. It's kind of like real world advertisement. If he sold his Ford GT, it might lower public opinion of the car because it seems like he didn't want it anymore.
