They claim the defense didn't argue "he shot her by accident" so much as "he picked up a cloth-wrapped package that he did not know contained a gun, and said gun went off in his hand". It's a STUPID and ridiculous defense, but when the prosecution overreaches and undermines their own credibility by trying for a CLEARLY not first degree murder charge, it looks bad for the prosecution in the eyes of the jury. --- Touch fuzzy.
