TIL: If you don't agree with me, you're just spreading propaganda

Not what I said whatsoever. These people are trying to create a self-fulfilling prophecy. If enough people say DC is a failure, it becomes a failure. That's what propaganda is.

Edward Bernays was the grandfather of modern propaganda. He used clever advertising and mind-control techniques to completely change our culture. It's because of him that bacon became considered a breakfast food; he was hired on by the bacon plants and he shaped public opinion to be that bacon goes with breakfast. He's the reason that wealthy people have pianos in their home. Before Bernays, only actual pianists would get pianos, but he made it into a status symbol.

That's what propaganda is, and that's what these people are doing. Tell everyone they're bad movies, tell everyone it will flop, and eventually (because people are so weak-minded), they'll start to believe it.

It's also known now that soy in your diet causes you to lose all your testosterone and be only a shell of a person, making it more easy to influence your mind. That's a big part of the epidemic facing young men today. The bottom line is that these are good movies, very enjoyable, and yet everyone suddenly becomes a serious critic with them and judges them differently than any other thing they watch. Why do you think that is?
