Turned out he lied about his credentials and turned out to be little more than a Slyph fanboy. An ill-informed one at that, since he had no idea how dangerous the Turned ones were. They asked questions about the Chosen One (in hindsight, with the Slyph-speaks ending in one, this one should have been obvious) before getting scared off when Zhien appeared and they recognized them. Aww yeah his reputation is growing.
