I agree with ShotOJameson here. I've been quoted as saying "if somebody needs something so badly that they would fucking steal it from me, then they must have needed it more than me."

When I was a kid I would have whooped the kids ass that stole my bike, but now as a man i realize that that accomplishes nothing but perpetuating the cycle and not everyone is perfect and maybe he needed it more than me so I can forgive him for his faults, be happy for him, and move on with my life. That takes a bigger man.

That kid is ahead of the curve tbh. It's basically seeing the bigger picture of things than just getting mad (or offended) that someone wronged you. it's maturity. not everyone understands it and its ok if you don't but it's just another way of thinking. Its not wrong, its just different. No need to destroy the kid.
