| Topic | Took a couple weeks off from B8; feeling pretty good - what's next? |

Bendis had a great, cohesive take on Spider-Man that really made the Ultimate Universe tick. His Jess Jones work was always great, and I think he was just burning himself out on the limitations of the universe in which he worked. Is he the best writer at Marvel? Honestly, he might be. Marvel is pretty awful at the moment. Is he a phenomenal writer in general? I think he has the potential. If I'm bringing in Bendis, I'm saying, "Hey. We aren't putting out The Outsiders. We don't have a great take on street-level Gotham at the moment. We need some play in the realm of a Ted Kord-level guy and we aren't pumping out titles for the low-powered tier." That's what Bendis is best at. If I was just handing a title to Bendis, it would be Elongated Man or Wildcat or the Question. Maybe now is a great time to return Renee Montoya to the mask. The other thing I would consider is actually pushing a new writer in Titans. It's not exactly setting the world on fire, and Bendis' style of voice fits a twentysomething feel.
