was in there just last week and they wanted 5 bucks and some change for a 12 pack of soda, but only 2 bucks and some change for store brand. and their version of mt. dew to me anyways damn near tastes exactly the same.

fun fact

a 2 liter is generally less expensive than a 12 pack, by far.

two 2 liters equals the same amount of soda as in a 12 pack.

when you buy a 12 pack, you're buying the cans. it's usually half as expensive, or less, to just buy 2 liters.

I dislike 2L bottles, it goes flat if you don't drink it quickly. A case of 12 is still a pretty good value, and whenever I open a can it's fresh and fizzy. Tastes better out of a can too, I find.

But, I also mostly drink Pepsi Next or Coca-Cola Life because I try to avoid too much sugar.

I agree that some products like mac and cheese are noticeably worse when buying the store brand. However, I often buy store brand mayonnaise, cheese, water, canned vegetables, cookies, perogies, spices, mustard, and tablets for lactose intolerance. Off the top of my head.

When it comes to fresh meat, though, I don't cheap out. And I definitely don't buy it at Wal-Mart.
