The idea isn't to know with certainty what you are doing. The idea is to give yourself an ambitious (albeit arbitrary) deadline and utilize that to just start putting the words down. You don't have to have a meticulously planned story or have done months of prepwork. Just throw caution to the wind and start putting one word in front of the next.
