Many anime has elements that would appeal to regular movie goers but keeping all the Japanese culture references would put them off. That said, Hollywood has a habit of changing things that would still have worked well if they had stayed accurate to the source. So draw the line in the middle somewhere. I've not seen Dragon Ball Evolution, but I heard it changes way too much about the characters to put them in a real world setting when a more fantasy world setting would have sufficed. --- "Well, it's not a bad game.
