and if you can just lie about your heritage on applications and get away with it why doesn't everyone?
Long story short, she registered with a legal directory claiming to be a minority for about a decade and let Harvard use her as an example for staff diversity when there's no actual evidence to suggest that she has any Native American ancestry other than a claim about a great-great-great grandma claiming to be part-Cherokee. In other words, the equivalent of the dude that finds out they're 1.7% Iberian and then wanting to go on a trip to Spain to connect to their roots.
