So just keep training at the marketplace until you hit lieutenant keeping in mind to do the following things:

1) When your commander promotes, promote any soldiers who were waiting.
2) When your commander promotes, buy more soldiers until your auth is capped again
3) When your hero levels up, go to the Armor and buy him more gear. (Buy the bronze sword at level 4 but otherwise just keep buying armor so he wont get injured)
4) When your soldiers get injured, heal them at the hospital and keep training. This works with spears all the way until the rank of General*, but with footmen you could eventually start to run out of cash from healing them all the time.
5) When you hit Lieutenant you can buy your 2nd hero and outfit him much the same as the first.
6) When you hit Lieutenant you will no longer be able to train at the Marketplace, but new options will appear depending on the terrain of the city you are in. It will say "Patrol the Forest/Plains/Mountains/Snow/Desert" depending on where you are. Ideally you will be in a city where your country has a bonus. For example I'm in poland right now and I get a +5% bonus on mountains so I try to do all my training in mountain cities/borders. This terrain training works exactly like market training, only you run into larger forces. But you can afford more soldiers so it balances out.

What you are doing now is called Force Heal (FH) Training and it involves burning through your supply of gold to continue to train without stopping. But as I mentioned with footmen this wont be possible forever and so if you are starting to run out of gold then you will want to do training runs instead, where you train without stopping to heal until a large chunk of your army is injured. Then you will see at the hospital how many ticks it will take for them to heal and you'll come back in 60 or 90 or however many minutes it will take and resume training then.

At the beginning of the age it is perfectly safe to train and go offline because no one can pvp you that early. But once wars start if you go offline while your army is injured from training then there is a chance that someone will pvp you while you are gone and they can do a lot of damage to an army that is weakened from training. So typically once wars are beginning you will only "train down" if you know you can stick around until you are healthy again. But at that point you wont need to get all your XP from training and you can join in the battles to capture cities and you'll get a lot of XP from those instead. The important thing to remember is that we want to optimize the training in the early game to get our country to the point where we are strong enough to go to war faster than the other countries. Once you've reached that point you can survive mainly on Strike Force (SF) XP rather than training XP.

^That should get you started. I'm sure there are plenty of small things that I neglected or that I take for granted that you would know so if something is not clear then let me know. Additionally I can hop on discord or something if anyone is going to hop into a country to practice the early game training and give answers on the fly if you have questions.
