Viewership went from about 15 million in the early games to 19+ for the G5 thriller, 22 for G6, and a stunning 28 million for the finale. That makes it the second most-watched baseball game since the Red Sox championship game way back in 2004 (only last year's Cubs/Indians G7 tops it). The overall average for the Series was boosted up to 19 million, making it the most popular championship series since the Yanks/Phils in 2009 (aside from, again, Cubs/Indians).
