I've never quit a job without having a better job already lined up. Quitting a job without a plan to move forward is a surefire way to make sure you never advance in life.

I have a friend like that. He keeps getting jobs as a cook at restaurants, but someone does something to piss him off so he immediately quits with no plan. Then he's unemployed and broke for 3-6 months before he finds basically the same job at a different restaurant. He's been doing this for around 5 years, over half a dozen times. He's still living with his parents, doesn't have a car, and I'm pretty sure he's unemployed right now.

My point is, look for a better job. Try and at least have an idea of where you're going before you quit. All of my jobs have pissed me off, but I've always known months in advance where I'm going, and I've always taken a pay increase when I switched jobs.

But how can I look for a better job when I'm working from 5:30 am to at least 6 PM every weekday?
