I'm not saying your girlfriend is lying but even if they had slept around with a lot of guys in random hookups, I wouldn't imagine her bragging about it. Especially at that age, they have no reason to tell the truth to you as a potential partner, really. The number they give you might still be "correct" in their heads b/c they could just be talking about legitimate boyfriends they've had.
