Topic	Why did Super Smash Brothers for Wii U/3DS get a pass for microtransactions?

Yeah there's no real way to completely gate it. I mean, online yeah. But fighting games are not very good online and are played in person. I actually like the new trend of just charging a lot more for any future expansions upfront. I mean, it sucks paying that $80-100 right away for content you don't have but I think it makes more sense for the business and the consumer. ehh its a nice option, but lets just keep it a option. take injustice for example. if it wasn't for the black lightning skin I probably wouldn't be interested in getting raiden at all. it would bug me not having all fighters. but I felt the game went overboard on guest characters particularly MK related, and I think I would have decided to vote with my wallet about that. --- Cid- "looks like that overgrown lobster just got served!"
